Doll Talk and Ransom take the stage at 7:45 PM Wednesday, July 15 at the annual Taste of Saskatchewan event. The event features 30 of Saskatoon's finest restaurants serving up marquee items from their menus in the scenic outdoor setting of Kiwanis Park just south of the Hotel Bessborough in downtown Saskatoon.
The event is also recognized as one of Saskatchewan’s largest music festivals and is known as a festival that features and promotes home-grown Saskatchewan talent. Come on by this festive occasion to see all-new stage antics from Saskatoon's premiere high-energy band and recieve other assorted goodies that will be coming from the stage!

fans who packed Buds on Broadway on New Years' for a marathon four-hour performance by Saskatoon's highest energy band.
Doll Talk and Ransom and Five Star Productions wish to thank all of the
fans who packed Buds on Broadway for Buds'"Halloweekend Party" this past weekend. A very special thanks is extended to Buds' management and staff who were literally run off their feet during these two highly energized performances by the upstart band.
The band, often abbreviated simply as "DTR", delivered a great mix of
classic rock and glam-inspired rock - and also made the dancefloor hop
with original songs such as "Commodore 64" and the bass-driven "Palominos".
Crowds also enthusiastically received Halloween standards such as the
"Monster Mash", "The Timewarp" and "Ghostbusters".
The band appeared as major figures from the rock and rap worlds -
specifically, Queen's Freddie Mercury, Guns N'Roses's Slash, Public
Enemy's Flava Flav and Run-DMC's Reverend Run.
DTR will be playing at the Denholme Roadhouse on Saturday, Sept 6th. Be sure to come out early and plan to stay late as DTR is bringing the big show to this great venue that is well-known for a friendly party atmosphere.
DTR brought PROM NIGHT to a capacity crowd at Buds on Broadway in Aug 2008 for their first weekend show at the venue. Highlights included a pre-show limousine interview with Shaw TV's Curtis Anderson, sexy formal wear, long-stem flowers for the ladies and a hot laser and stage show.
DTR quite literally MELTED DOWN Buds on Broadway on Monday, June 30th 2008. DTR pulled some all-new stunts while partying with the great Buds crowd like it was 1867!
DTR hosted the June 15 Jam Night at Vangelis Tavern on Broadway. Highlights included some great performances by local blues musicians, Jared playing harp for us on "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Crazy Train" and a blessing and validation of Matt's bass guitar by L.O.R.D. Funk himself.
DTR played two exciting back-to-back shows at Buds on Broadway on June 4th and 5th. A big thanks goes out to our fans as well as Buds' great staff and Kevin our indefatigable soundman. Hope you all enjoyed it - pictures from the show are available at the Saskatoon Blues website.
DTR was the headliner at an fundraising event to benefit the Saskatchewan Liberal Party on May 2nd at Vangelis Tavern on Broadway in Saskatoon.
There are substantive rumours that there were belly dancers at this event.
DTR played a major fundrasing dinner to benefit the work of the Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association at the Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Saskatoon in March, 2008. On December 8, 2007, DTR was featured as the headliner at the Ugandarama fundraiser to benefit Ugandan literacy programs and scholarships. We were proud to share the billing with Sexually Attracted to Fire, Kayleigh Smith and Barry and the Bobcats. Quite a few fans braved the -30 C conditions to help us rock the house and we appreciate the great support of our soundguy hero Ian and the delectable high-test shooters that were sent our way from a very dedicated DTR superfan.
On November 22, 2007, the Saskatoon United Way hosted its annual major fundraiser with DTR on the bill as the sole entertainers for the gala evening. At the event, DTR played two high-energy sets for a crowd of over 600 and Shaw Cablevision at Saskatoon's newly remodeled and very impressive TCU Place Grand Salon.
A crowd of nearly 80 SIAST students, staff and faculty recently got to rock out with DTR on SIAST Kelsey Campus in Saskatoon. DTR played for over 2 hours and beer sales met new levels.The "Thirsty Thursday" event was hosted by the Kelsey Students' Association (KSA). View a snippet of the performance here.
DTR played an exciting outdoor show in Dalmeny, SK on September 8, 2007. Narrowly avoiding a rain cancellation, and saving the gear with the use of tarps, the quartet blasted through 3 big sets of great tunes during an increasingly brisk evening finishing up around midnight when the guitarist's fingers and liver nearly stopped functioning. Watch for a repeat booking for late July 2008.
